...

she just managed to make me cry, my own mother did.

my health report came back. some bad news. which may possibly turn into more bad news after i am monitored for a month.

she laughed and said i'm being stupid.

she actually laughed at my blood test results.

i am quite in disbelief.

Yeah, strangely enough, mothers have less sympathy for daughters.

My brother, for example, is 31, still not entirely independent, has never sent money home, hasn't come home to visit in a year and still he's the Bao Bei Son. Hmf.

I asked her when she was going to stop sending money to him and ask him for something back. When he gets a bit older, she says. How old does this guy have to be, 800?

lol!

my eldest brother hasn't been working for a few years now either. but to his credit, he did use to contribute before that. well, now i'm the only one with a full time job.

See lah. That's what you get for being a goil. Probably you were born on Monday too ("Monday's child works hard for a living")

How have you been? Are you okay? What is this blood test all about?

Obviously late but hope you're okay.

On J's point -- I'm surprised! I have a younger sister and we used to both accuse the other of being mama's pet. She because she was the younger one, me because I was the boy. And my mother would get upset at both of us for even suggesting that she favoured the other. Looks like in your case, my sister's argument wins. Hence my surprise!
