surgery

are all operating theatres so cold?

i don't really want to find out. :)

sedation was really comfortable... i was surprised. i guess it helped that i couldn't feel the pain when i woke up, since the painkillers hadn't worn off. i slept so well... plain darkness when i closed my eyes, a cosy room when i opened them, and nothing in between.

all the nurses were really motherly. my doctor was a calm tower of confidence, with a wise smile and kind eyes. i am very grateful.

recovery will take place slowly over the next 6-8 weeks, and another test is to be done in 3 months to confirm that the problem has been solved.

and if it is, all is not over yet, as there is another problem afoot. another round of tests and treatment is on the cards in the future, once this hurdle is crossed.

one hurdle at a time.

I hope you are okay. I had a preliminary indication of a similar virus, but somehow it went away, leaving me mystified and still worried.

apparently people do recover from it by themselves, the danger is when it lingers for many years and becomes the dreaded C. mine got out of hand slightly, still in time (i hope) and doc is confident so i'm riding on his white coat tails... (i wasn't so sure myself but he has influenced me).

i believe yours must have cleared when your body fought it off by itself. just be sure to go for your yearly check-ups! then you'll be fine. :)
